Support for debug probes, trace probes and flash programmers

Every J-Link, J-Trace and Flasher[1] comes with one year of Initial Coverage & Warranty.

What is included?

During the active Coverage & Warranty period, your device is covered by:

  • Hardware warranty - if a defect of your device occurs, SEGGER will repair or replace the device free of charge
  • Technical support[2] - access to SEGGER's support team for questions and issues related to the device and your project

Any support request can only be processed if the device is registered. More information: https://kb.segger.com/J-Link_Registration

How long is the coverage valid?

The standard Initial Coverage & Warranty period is one year.
When purchasing a new device, you can extend the Coverage & Warranty period to a total of 3 or 5 years.
If you initially purchase only the standard one-year coverage, you can still extend the Coverage & Warranty period later, as long as the current coverage has not yet expired.
The maximum total Coverage & Warranty period is 5 years from the start of the initial coverage period.

Custom Support
If your Coverage & Warranty period has expired, custom support (Non-recurring engineering fee) can be purchased upon request and is invoiced on an hourly basis (minimum of four hours). Our engineering team will be happy to assist you with custom hardware questions, code review, device support, integration support and/or other individual support matters. Please send an e-mail to sales@segger.com.
